Facilitator, mentor, teacher, and proud practitioner of the Haworth Management System which is modeled after the Toyota production system and the scientific method. Using the Shingo model as a guide for the organization, continuous improvement practices were implemented using hoshin kanri, facilitating lean training, mentored through kaizen improvement events and projects, assessed operations globally utilizing a standard assessment tool, and many hours of one on one coaching.Certified through the University of Michigan as a trainer of the university's week long lean training program which was conducted at Haworth 2-4 times a year. Training included real-time simulations to apply lean tools and concepts and immediate application to a project that attendees brought with them to the training. Spring of 2020, our team quickly shifted to a virtual training model that allowed us to not only continue the simulation in a virtual room but also included attendees from Canada, the United States, Mexico, and India. Hoshin Kanri methods were used to coach the executive team through the development of one global strategy X Matrix and deployed through cascaded connections down to actionable goals for teams throughout each calendar year. Global assessor for the Haworth Management System in manufacturing. Assessments utilized a tool that aligned with the Shingo model of lead methodology to cover all dimension; cultural enablers, continuous improvement, enterprise alignment, and results. Assessments conducted included 11 North American plants and plants in India, China, Germany, France, Portugal, and Switzerland.Favorite project: Transferring the Fern task chair from engineering to production. Served as a coach for the operations team where we balanced the line and took the required FTEs from 19 to 11 while making the work smoother and easier.
