Over 25 years of experience in varied roles including teaching, customer service and association management. Every role I've held has involved working with people and solving problems which were sometimes on a large scale. As a teacher I was passionate about helping students learn and grow, and that passion continues with mentoring the Community Association Managers and trainees who join my team. Data analysis was always part of my job as a teacher and once I moved into administrative education roles, those data points grew to include both district and state wide initiatives, which I led. These skills are helpful when analyzing association portfolios and looking for ways to cut costs, diversify savings and investments, and/or improve property operations. I currently hold a Florida Home Inspector License and Wind Mitigation Specialist Certificate. These skills are essential when managing Associations for Condominiums as well as Townhouses as these associations are responsible for maintaining roofing, stucco repairs, and other structural components. Being trained to look for issues, as well as how to prevent issues, saves our communities from costly repairs.My favorite part of my "job" is connecting with people. I've found that the larger my network is, the more services and knowledge I'm able to assist my communities with. Having relationships with roofers, landscapers, handyman service providers, bankers, pond maintenance teams, and the City of Jacksonville provide opportunities to better serve the communities that we manage. As a Google Certified Educator, I learned many skills in creating assistive technology, online forms and created databases that make life easier for all of the communities that we manage. Instead of having to print forms like with other management companies, we are 100% paper free utilizing an online platform for both convenience and green initiatives. All requests are also sent in an online format that includes tracking for peace of mind. As a lifelong learner, I hope to continue to gain new skills that will create an environment of trust, loyalty and ease with each of the communities that serve.
