I have recently graduated from the National College of Ireland where I received a 2.1 bachelors degree in Marketing Practice. Throughout this degree course I completed a number of modules including: Career Management Skills, Service Marketing Management, Business Intelligence and Statistics, Consumer Behaviour, Digital Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, Market Research, Brand Management, Economic and Market Practice, Emerging Technologies for Business, Entrepreneurship, Financial Analysis and Reporting, Fundamentals of Marketing, Innovation and Creativity in Business, Management and the Organization, Project Management, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Law, Distribution Channel Management and Sales management. I feel these modules that I have completed over the last 3 years will be extremely beneficial to me in a marketing based role. As part of my degree I took part in a Capstone project which included running a startup business. My business was selling high quality tote bags aimed at students and working professionals who use tote bags to carry their laptops. Throughout this Capstone project I gained a massive amount of experience and knowledge in entrepreneurship and running a business. It has provided me with skills such as social media marketing and management skills, website building skills, organizational, planning and communication skills, as well as general management skills. As part of this project, I managed and created content across social media platforms including TikTok and Instagram, where I used both organic and paid digital marketing strategies. In this project I received a 2.1 result. I believe that the skills and knowledge I gained in this project will aid me hugely in future roles.
