I am a driven Mechanical Engineer having graduated with a 1st Class from the University of Leeds, with an enthusiasm for how engineering solutions can be used to improve the quality of life. I am a reliable, hard-working individual with strong communication skills developed by the many team based positions I have taken over the years. I was thrilled to be able to further my technical knowledge and professional development during an industrial placement year at EnOcean in Munich. There, I designed product prototypes on SOLIDWORKS, manufactured them using an Ultimaker and assembled them in a workshop.My bachelor's dissertation project involved using FEA (ABAQUS) to model and simulate the movement of patient-specific lungs with the goal of improving the accuracy of radiotherapy treatments.My Masters project was based on producing a novel rebreathing ventilator circuit to improve the efficiency of oxygen usage, with the design specifically focussed for use in low-resource environments.
