Amy has been a Registered Veterinary Technician for over 10 years. She began her career with ISU as a Small Animal Surgery Technician. After 4 years in surgery, including orthopedics, soft tissue and dentistry, Amy transferred to the Production Animal Medicine and Surgery department in the large animal hospital at ISU. She served as the sole technician to that service for 2 years before taking a supervisory position in the large animal hospital. For a number of years Amy has supervised up to 18 clinical support members at any given time. The sections of the hospital in which Amy oversees staff include: Theriogenology, Equine Medicine and ICU, Equine Surgery and Production Animal Medicine & Surgery at Iowa State University.In 2024, Amy accepted a position as a Construction Project Manager with Facilities, Planning and Management with ISU. Her focus is project management in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
