Last year I spent my summer working as a Camp Counsellor through Camp America at a summer camp based in Virginia. Working in this role required an extreme amount of responsibility, people-skills, attention to detail and communication skills as I, along with several other staff members, were responsible for up to 30 kids at one time each day.Activates which I oversaw and participated in during this time include rock climbing, archery, caving, high ropes courses, hiking and many more. This experience increased my sense of independence and helped me improve my confidence and social skills massively.

In this role, I carried out a number of tasks daily, such as:• Processing CV’s and determining those who would be best fitted to the role• Finding suitable dates and times to set up interviews for management staff• Using office 365 to process invoices and emailing them to staff • Dealing with enquiries over the phone.For this position, I had to be well organised and pay close attention to detail when sending staff invoices to ensure this was done efficiently and no mistakes were made.These skills were also required when finding setting up interviews to ensure there was no overlapping of times, etc.This was a role which I thoroughly enjoyed, however I unfortunately had to leave this position in order to focus on my studies.
