Responsible for coordinating student science labs and demonstrations for 18 teachers in the following disciplines: Chemistry, Biology and Physics for a student body size of approximately 1800. Duties included but not limited to: managing multiple prep room (bio, chem, phy), department budgeting and procurement, assisting in creating new student labs, instrument and technology maintenance and repair, inventory control and usage (both chemical and equipment), maintaining and updating chemical Material Safety Data sheets.

Responsible for performing audits of production, analytical and quality control to assure compliance to in-house specifications/standards, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). This includes preliminary and post-manufacturing review of batch records, chemical data, and material release. Other duties include writing and reviewing SOP's, COP's and Quality Standards, initiating and maintaining compendial testing of raw materials and interdepartmental coordination of manufacturing events that relate to Analytical and Quality Control. I also facilitated or was part of a team for all in-house audits by regulatory agencies (FDA,DEA etc.) and contracting companies.

Utilized, developed applications and conducted fundamental research on the following types of analytical instrumentation: Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE). Other duties included instrument maintenance, attending/representing company at trade shows and teaching in-house customer classes.

Duties included conducting routine analysis of petroleum, surfactant, polymer and environmental samples utilizing Gas Chromatography (GC), Headspace Gas Chromatography (HS/GC) and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Other responsibilities included on-site environmental air and soil monitoring at company refineries and chemical plants.
