In 1994, Amy launched Altitunes, a chain of stores that sold music, movies, and portable electronics in airports. The business began with a phone call to the Port Authority of New York and NJ and grew to nearly 30 stores with sales of approximately $30 million. For more than 10 years, Amy was responsible for all aspects of the business, in particular new store growth, significant strategic transitions from cassette tapes through CDs and DVDs to portable electronics and accessories, and a workforce of more than 200 employees. She sold Altitunes in 2005 to InMotion Entertainment, and remains an active member of the Board of Advisors.
