About Amy Woodgate

Amy Woodgate is an Online Learning consultant, specialising in digital strategy and learning at scale. She is Director and founder of Woodgate Consulting - an online learning strategy and production consultancy, which leads design and implementation of digitally mindful but purpose-driven learning experiences. Values are core to the vision of her digital disruption, embracing strong collaborative and open practice, and driven by a desire to create learning solutions people love (rather than tolerate!) With infectious enthusiasm and a holistic approach to project development, her broad portfolio demonstrates an ability to translate these principles into any subject or industry context, paired with a genuine passion for the opportunities afforded through digital education. Whilst at the University of Edinburgh, Amy led the strategic expansion of the University’s fully-online course portfolio, including establishment of the world’s first non-US MOOCs. Through MOOCs, she led the sector internationally; sharing experiences and practice openly, and adopting open-by-default methodologies, for which she has received wide-spread praise and academic publication. In a personal capacity, she is a QAA Reviewer – assessing higher education quality standards against national sector benchmarks – and studies part-time as an online MSc Digital Education student with a specialism in learning analytics.
