As a sixth-generation farmer from rural Michigan, I’ve spent over 30 years helping to advance agricultural in all its facets – from innovations that help growers be more profitable, to sustainable technologies that improve the soil and products that minimize environmental impacts. I’ve worked with farmers from the West Coast to the Deep South and outside the U.S. to Canada and Australia and learned that no matter where you are, there are important fundamental principles that hold true for agriculture. The principles of both profitability and nurturing the land for future generations have guided my passion to make a long-term, positive impact for farmers. This work ethic along with an insatiable desire to learn has propelled me in leadership roles to guide, find efficiencies, build collaborative teams, and to create business's that are profitable but also fulfill a mission! My board work is also important to me as I love being able to support, mentor, and learn about other business's. I serve on the board of directors for Profile Products, Arcadia Biosciences, Moa Technology and am past director of Compass Minerals. I work promoting university initiatives with both Michigan State and Clemson University and served as former president of the Sigma Alpha National Foundation, a sorority promoting women in agriculture.
