I am responsible for managing procurement and contract management activities for UNOPS DRC Project Unit including planning and leading the development and implementation of procurement and contracting strategies for the acquisition of goods, services and works. I am responsible to ensure that all procurement operations follow established rules and procedures as stipulated in the UNOPS Procurement Manual and Financial Rules and Regulations. I track and maintain the procurement management system in relation to planning, awarding, administering and monitoring all matters related to procurement for the programme in close collaboration with project managers.Moreover, I also provide field Support in tasks related to the Financial and Treasury Management including budget monitoring, Fleet Management, Health Safety Social and Environmental (HSSE) Management, Facilities and Office Management, Travel Management and Asset Management to ensure operations compliance and Risk Management Advisory function to Management and staff on financial and administrative matters. I was responsible to ensure that all procurement and contract management activities followed established UNOPS policy, rules, regulations and procedures as stipulated in the UNOPS Procurement Manual, Financial Rules and Regulations and Organizational Instructions. My tasks included drafting, consolidating, and updating the programme's procurement procurement plan and contract management plan, producing tendering documents for international and local procurement requirements; publish tenders on e-sourcing and UNGM, monitor bid submission and initiate amendment if required, conduct bid opening, evaluate bids or proposals, and put forward recommendations for award of contracts and prepare and issue contracts.
