Led a diverse team of 18 to drive technology and innovation in support of the $3.4B Oscar Mayer business. Team accountabilities included:• Advance Technology Development – Developed and drove the technology and nutrition strategies. Managed a portfolio of technology platforms and external partnerships that provided both short- and long-term business-facing solutions with a business value in excess of $100MM. Worked across business units to identify emerging technologies with broad, multi-business-unit application. • Meat and Ingredient Research – Led foundational research in areas such as clean ingredient lines, meat formulation, modelling and nutrition. Co-developed and implemented new ingredient system to enable “No Artificial Preservatives” claim for Deli Fresh Selects. • Consumer and Sensory Science – Created and implemented learning plans for all key projects across Oscar Mayer, including identification and development of new tools. Managed the study budget of $900M and two internal sensory panels. • Culinary Science – Developed flavor profiles, product prototypes, gold standards and recipes. Explored new cooking methods to deliver products that delight consumers for new products and extensions.• Capabilities – Led open innovation, intellectual asset management and competitive intelligence for the division. Co-led the Open Innovation Collaborative Network for all of Kraft to ensure open innovation capabilities were developed and leveraged to achieve business results.
