    When Auth0 was acquired by Okta, as Auth0’s Head of Talent Acquisition, I worked with my counterpart at Okta to integrate the two teams, processes, and technologies. This involved finding a role for the Auth0 recruiters, integrating all of our recruiting data from Lever into Greenhouse, and working with Auth0 business leaders to transition to the new recruiting model. After nearly a year of integration, I leveraged my experience to create a new role of Senior Director, Global Recruiting Programs and Enablement. In this role I designed a repeatable onboarding process that trained over 80 recruiters in 6 months. In addition, I designed the grading system for our recruiting scorecard metrics. Each level of recruiter had an associated list of behaviors and I took each one and created measures of how the behaviors are demonstrated at each level. This provided an objective way for recruiting managers to manage performance. I also included a self-evaluation so recruiters and managers could compare perceived behaviors and work to close the gaps. I formed the Programs Team which ran a very successful employee referral program, created a new alumni program, and owned internal mobility. We had many successes including the launch of an annual employee career symposium, alumni boomerang video series and our employee referral program and internal mobility program generated a combined 70% of our hires.

Our team of 8 recruiters averaged 7 highly-skilled hires/month to grow Auth0 from 700 employees to 1000 in a year and a half in a very niche cybersecurity market. Auth0 focused on global expansion as part of our business strategy. My team hired new teams in Poland and Spain and supported existing offices in APAC, EMEA and South America. We held events in Argentina to further expand our brand’s reach and grow this flagship office.We also believed in looking at innovative ways of hiring talented sales teams. We worked with the NFL’s After the Game program for players who are no longer active to help find them meaningful work. It was during my time at Auth0 that COVID hit. I worked with our CEO to ensure that all employees had jobs during this stressful period. It was our mission to find meaningful work for those that had run our offices and for the recruiters who weren’t hiring. I worked with sales and marketing to transition these employees into jobs where they were making an important contribution until it was possible to return to their previous roles.
