With over 30 years of experience in public administration and social services, I have a strong background in leadership, non-profit program development, organizational management, grants management, and casework. Now retired from the state of Texas, my final role was as the Director of Probation Services at the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD), where I led the state-wide division that supports 164 local juvenile probation departments and programs.My mission is to improve the quality and effectiveness of juvenile justice services for young people and their families, through strategic planning, policy analysis, team building, and collaboration. I have successfully re-designed and grown organizations, proposed and helped to pass legislative changes, and implemented new programs and software. I am passionate about creating positive outcomes for the juvenile justice system and the communities it serves.
