First Door is a non-profit in North Portland serving low-income students and their families. First Door primarily operates as an after school program for elementary and middle school students. I have volunteered with First Door over the past few years in many capacities, working with students, administrative assistance and curriculum and educational.

Every summer during college I worked for Salt & Straw, starting the first full summer with the company. I have worked as a scooper in all the shops, including a summer running a cart on Division. Additionally I have worked many various events with Salt & Straw, this summer as an Event Lead.

My senior year of college I worked as a Barista and sales person. The bakery was a very fast paced environment where I learned to work well in a stressful situation as well as gaining a lot of customer service skills. In the short time I was at the bakery I received two raises based on performance.
