South Bay AFL-CIO is the 15th-largest regional labor federation in the country representing 90 unions and 110,000 members. In this role, I elevated labor's position in Silicon Valley economic development circles and civic organizations. I was successful in electing labor majorities for state, county, and municipal elections, and negotiated collective bargaining agreements for working people in spaces as diverse as the public sector, construction, health care, and service trades.
