I established this small event management business to work with a range of private and corporate clients in the Sydney region. Services range from end to end event management to one-off projects and ongoing consultancy.

Autodesk University Australia was held for the second time in ANZ in August 2015, attracting over 600 customers and partners for two days of learning, development and networking. I was engaged to assist in the marketing, management and delivery of the event program and onsite event.

I came on board to create, market and deliver the events for the 2015 Season, from concept to implementation. Events included home game hospitality at the Shoremen’s Lounge at North Sydney Oval, Sponsor events, Ladies Day and the Annual Bon Andrews Fundraising Lunch.

I was engaged to act as the main point of contact for the partners, attendees and external stakeholders for this cocktail reception prior to the major industry conference. The event was designed to shine the spotlight on the partners’ brands and encourage valuable connections with customers.

In this role, I oversaw the development and delivery of continuing education events for fitness professionals nationwide, including the FILEX Fitness Convention, the Network Convention, Network Training Summits and the Western Australian Fitness Industry Convention (WAFIC). Key responsibilities include:• Deliver commercially successful events, including budget control, event reporting and forecasting. • Ensure effective communication pre and post event with stakeholders. • Planning, operations and logistics for the delivery of the onsite event. • Effectively manage client and staff relationships including negotiation and conflict resolution.• Partner and sponsorship management, including being the main point of contact for long-term partners, executing sponsorship agreements and seeking new business in this area of the events. • Build, manage and mentor a high performing team consisting of permanent and part-time staff, consultants and volunteers throughout the calendar year. • Overall theme development, speaker selection and acquisition and delivery of each program – up to 260+ sessions, 170 presenters at any one time. • Research industry trends and developments to identify critical topics and prominent speakers. • Secure speaker commitments to the events, negotiate remuneration and maintain ongoing contact in the lead up to the event. • Manage the development and implementation of marketing strategy and creative including the event look and feel, branding management, design guidelines, EDMs, advertisements, event launches, promotional video concepts and onsite signage.• Liaise with in-house design team, produce the event copy and ensure website and print brochure is delivered to brief and deadline.• Oversee travel and accommodation management for staff and presenter faculty.• Facilitate post-event analysis inviting feedback from key stakeholders. Present findings to management and implement recommendations for future event development.

Assisting the Events Manager in a variety of duties including:• Manage and distribute event communication to presenter faculty.• Coordinate and source equipment for each session and presenter.• Oversee the registration process and general administration tasks.• Organise travel and accommodation for national and international presenter faculty and staff.• Set up and manage the onsite registration for delegates, presenters and event crew.• Manage and deliver the Event Crew volunteer program, including the promotion of the program, application process, dealing with fundamental and complex enquiries, rostering and coordinating uniforms.• Create and deliver the Event Crew briefing at each event to 180+ volunteers.• Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors and ensure all components of sponsorship agreements are delivered.• Coordinate schedules for move in and move out.• Coordinate the social program for each event.• Assist with post-event evaluations from key parties, provide feedback and recommendations to the Events Manager.

Key responsibilities include:• Administration: general administration duties to ensure the office ran efficiently and effectively.• Sales process: Fulfillment and dispatch of sales orders.• Customer Service: fielding incoming phone calls and enquiries from members regularly.
