I am a passionate advocate for the rights of women and girls and the promise of health for all.For over 20 years I’ve led policy advocacy efforts from the United Nations to the halls of the US Congress, and in communities in more than 30 countries around the world. What fuels me: A commitment to improving sexual and reproductive health and rights; ending maternal and child mortality; and demonstrating the enormous impact of investing in women and girls. As an organizational leader I have served as President and CEO as well as in other senior roles at both small and multi-million dollar NGOs. I am known for my unique expertise in negotiating strategic partnerships to ensure sustainability in the nonprofit space, and I’ve mobilized millions of dollars in mission-aligned funding from public sector, private sector, and individual donors. I also have extensive experience working with global health initiatives and in multilateral negotiations on health. My governance and advisory roles include serving as Chair Elect of the Board of Directors of the Global Health Council and as a member of the UNFPA Global Advisory Council. Within the organizations I lead, my strengths include my ability to mentor and develop people, and to build cohesive, committed, and wildly successful teams. As part of my advocacy, I am a frequent speaker and facilitator, driven to not only advance crucial conversations, educate, and inspire, but also mobilize people to become advocates themselves. I frequently speak about the power of advocacy and accountability to address poverty, strengthen health systems, fight gender inequalities, and amplify the health and rights of women and girls.Skills include:-Extraordinary connector with extensive global health networks-Developing people, managing, mentoring, and growing global teams -Speaking and facilitating to inspire commitment and drive change (in English, French & Spanish)-Proven fundraising and business development success-Non-profit leadership including organizational strategy development and implementation; oversight of annual planning, budgeting, and reporting; personnel management; project management; communications, and board relations.-Stakeholder management, coalition and partnership building for advocacy-Leading performance-based grants programs
