As a member of the People & Culture team at Uptempo(formerly Allocadia), I lead strategies and programs to ensure a strong and healthy employee experience and company culture. Uptempo's strong eNPS of its 150 team members was a foundation as Allocadia merged with BrandMaker to create a global organization of 350 people around the world, where our team of HR professionals is working on employee experience as the company continues its mission of transforming how marketers work. My career began in purchasing, providing a career start of skill-sets in project management, vendor management, negotiations, and customer management. This has provided the foundation throughout my career in understanding how to create & support win-win partnerships with companies, vendors, and customers, and now extends to strong win-win relationships between companies and employees. This purchasing background led to a transition into the technology industry, working for a startup for a homeware e-commerce market. The entrepreneurial nature of this tech startup was a great fit - learning more about my love for entrepreneurial environments, building teams, owning the customer experience, and getting stuff done in an extremely efficient and productive way. At the leading e-commerce company Elastic Path, I ran e-stores for the 2010 Olympics, delivering all of the Olympic goods to families around Canada - a high-pressure, high-deadline environment that involved a ‘whatever it takes’ mentality as the surge of focus on the e-commerce platform.After a small stint at the then Traction startup (one of five employees, now 1000+ people and just acquired by Salesforce) honing my technical skills and customer-facing skills, as I implemented Salesforce for clients and ran operations programs for the then startup; I then focused on family & kids and doing website & UX and web help for clients as special projects over the years. By nature, I have always been a connector & focus on people. This brings my passion for entrepreneurship, a fast-moving environment, and giving back to people. I focus on strategies for the entire lifecycle of the employee experience.
