With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, a minor in English, and formal training in editing from UC San Diego, I've gathered a wild, wide range of experience over the past two decades in writing, editing, project management, and design. I've edited trade nonfiction and fiction manuscripts, K–12 curricula, Christian devotionals, children’s fiction books, and even audiobook transcripts. I've written obituaries and sports copy for newspapers, created and edited fundraising and marketing materials for nonprofits, updated websites, written blogs, and designed graphics. I have experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, various content management systems, and style guides such as Chicago Manual of Style and the Associated Press Stylebook. I'm a member of Editorial Freelancers Association and ACES: The Society for Editing. Finally, I'm proud to volunteer with Seen&Heard and WriteGirl, nonprofits focused on developing creativity and life skills for youth in Los Angeles.
