I am a librarian, connecting patrons and the community to variety of resources. I curate collections, develop and lead programs, and build relationships with patrons and community partners. I train library aides, and I facilitate outreach. I want to help every aspect of the library run effectively to best care for our students, faculty, and staff. I am an experienced educator, having taught in secondary schools and in university classrooms. I foster a welcoming and collaborative classroom community that thrives on inquiry-based learning. I write curriculum with clear learning objectives.I develop library materials and curriculum to best meet individual needs, and I utilize learner differences and diversity in crafting accommodations that will be an asset for the individual, as well as for the entire classroom. I am a passionate mentor of students, as I guide them to find their personal passions. I advocate for increased accessibility in libraries and classrooms. I write, research, and create, as I am driven to publish content that will benefit others. I am skilled in Public Speaking, Academic Advising, Critical Thinking, Reference Services, English Teaching, Tutoring, Advising, Writing, and Editing. I am a strong education professional with a Master's degree in English and a Bachelor's degree in English Education, both from Brigham Young University. I am currently a student at University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), pursuing my Master's in Library Science.
