I help clients find solutions for all manner of environmental risk assessment problems in all sorts of different ways...helping to design studies to address gaps in their risk assessment...writing opinion papers to re-evaluate their existing data and support new endpoints....and pulling it all together into a coherent and logical story for their formulated product or active substance dossier.Having worked at the UK regulatory authority (CRD) after completing my PhD, I have first hand experience of the thought processes a regulator must go through when evaluating active substance and product dossiers. This is invaluable when developing solutions for clients and writing the subsequent risk assessments, ensuring that at all stages, the likely regulatory acceptability of the approaches developed is considered and discussed openly with the client. I am an active member of SETAC, having been on the SETAC Europe Council (2014-2020) and a member of several other committees in the past. As part of my role in the council I led one of SETAC Europe's strategic goals, aiming to expand the size and connectivity of the SETAC Europe network. In my youth, I was one of the founding members of the SETAC Europe Student Advisory Council.As of May 2018, I am a SETAC Europe certified risk assessor (CRA), which became the IBERA certified environmental risk assessor program in May 2022.When I'm not at work, I spend much of my time on our tiny small holding in North Yorkshire, where we have dairy goats, chickens, bees, ducks, pigs and a dog.
