Amy Chitwood, MAcOM, LAc, is a graduate of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. She is nationally board certified in Chinese herbal medicine, and manages the Portland Acupuncture Blog, an online blog to educate the public about the benefits of acupuncture. She is also a certified One Thousand Hands Buddha Qigong instructor.Amy lived in Ulsan, South Korea for three years, where she learned about the art of acupuncture and saw the real benefits of the medicine. She also holds a black belt in the martial art Hapkido.For two years, Amy worked in research at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. She assisted with studies on the effects of acupuncture in endometriosis, and the effects of acupuncture on fatigue in multiple sclerosis.Amy received her undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia.
