Hey there! I’m Amy…I have been practicing as a Registered Dietitian in BC, Canada since 2011 since completing my training at McGill University. I’ve worked as a clinical dietitian at Woodstone Residence (Looking Glass Residence), BC’s first publicly funded residential treatment program for eating disorders and am currently a dietitian for the Fraser Health Eating Disorders Program.I was a pediatric and allergy dietitian at HealthLink BC in the specialized nutrition service and a clinical dietitian at BC Children’s Hospital. Most importantly, I am a mom of a 4 year old toddler who is constantly testing boundaries and helped me gain a lot of real life perspectives!I am passionate about inspiring families to feel confident about nutrition and bringing joy back into eating. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and most of my free time in the kitchen trying out a new recipe with my little one!I offer virtual nutrition counselling and services in the specialized areas of pediatric nutrition, food allergy management and eating disorders.

The Residence at Clayton Heights provides care to three distinctive programs: residential complex care, acquired brain injury program for young adults and mental health and substance use for older adult tertiary program.• I was a member of the opening leadership team. I successfully established the foundation of the Nutrition and Dietary Department and was an active member of the ethics, medication safety and OH& S committees.• I developed and established clinical and food service components for the facility, planned and audited seasonal 5-weeks cycle menus. I also manage day-to-day food service operations.• I provide and monitor nutritional care to all persons in care with a social model framework, including developing and implementing nutritional policies, care plans and provide in-service education to the interdisciplinary team. • I participate in inter-professional care conferences and am involved in discharge planning for the mental health program.• I provided nutrition support services, including selecting appropriate enteral formulations, and performing the requirement calculations and in-services education to nurses

The Woodstone Residence provides multidisciplinary, specialized care for young people suffering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or eating disorder not otherwise specified. • Developed and improved clinical and foodservice components of the program. Planned a 4-week cycle menu, conduct nutritional analysis, re-evaluate and standardize recipes, supervise kitchen staff. Develop nutritional policies, care plans, nutrition groups and in-service education.• Provided nutritional care and counseling services to patients. Assessed nutritional status, developed and implemented meal plan and nutrition care plan, monitored progress and achievement of goals, reassessing and updating care plan, as required.
