Working for a charity based in Wigan that exists to support people in crisis including homelessness and poverty.Regularly dealing with those who have existing drug and alcohol support needs, varied offending history and mental health support needs within single person cohorts, couples and families in the borough. Assisting the Operations Director in the running and managing of a 25 bed A Bed Every Night Provision commissioned by Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Wigan Council in the Wigan Borough. Working in Partnership with various other agencies and Wigan Council to provide trauma informed support needed to those transitioning through homelessness by tailoring support to each individual. Currently managing a team of six employees across a 24 hour period.

- Assisted in the running of both the Wigan and Leigh Hubs, Emergency Access Accommodations, providing support and a safe place to stay for those living there.- Manage risk and ensuring safety of an Emergency Accommodation housing 15 individuals.Maintain the health and safety of The Leigh Hub keeping in regular contact with Wigan Council to address any concerns.- Complete and oversee Housing Benefit claims, monitoring and resolving any queries.- Provide support to residents accessing the accommodation with benefits, service charge, accessing health services and signposting to other supporting agencies. - Attending Multi Agency meetings as the safeguard lead to discuss the safeguarding of complex cases. - Managing, inducting and providing continued support to Bank Staff working at the provision whilst taking the lead in any challenging situations.- Coordinating the staff rota for daytime and weekends across both the Wigan and Leigh provisions. - Updating and reviewing referrals and behaviour contracts in line with policies and procedures of the emergency accommodation.
