Worked with LSCP (economic development agency) since its inception in 1998. Helped to create a public-private partnership across boundaries that focuses the community on succeeding economically by working together. Responsible for the management, funding, legislative advocacy and strategic planning of the organization. Led the organization through the AEDO accreditation process under IEDC, making the Lake Superior Community Partnership the only Accredited Economic Development Organization in Michigan.Passed the Certified Economic Developer's exam in 2010 and is a Certified Fundraising Manager.Served on the Collaborative Development Council (CDC) of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and lead agency for Region 1.Enjoyed writing her weekly newspaper column, "Partnership News and Views", appears in the region's daily Mining Journal and her blog on www.marquette.orgNow retired she does some ED and fundraising contract work while sharing her love for Norwex eco-friendly and sustainable products.
