-From 2010-2013, worked in various departments in the Gallery, sales, receiving, and jewelry and fine goods specialist-From 2005-2006, acted as Department Specialist in running and re-forming the department (the Gallery) I had created three years before, and acted as consultant to the new General Store manager, sharing information gained from past experience in that post. -From 2002-2003, created new department (the Gallery), a showcase for antiques, art, jewelry, clothing, valuables, kitsch, and curiosities, devising its daily operations structure, designing its layout and appearance, and setting up displays. Also created layout and implemented setup of the General Store Department (including clothing, furniture, housewares, carpets and rugs, ovens and stoves, cabinets, luggage, sporting goods, etc) in the new store location.-From Sept 2002-Sept 2003, acted as manager of the General Store, supervising employees in these departments and working with supervisors of other departments, coordinating projects, making store improvements, and assisting in the writing of an official employee manual. Assisted in interviewing and hiring of employees.From 2000-2001, worked as a salesperson in the General Store and in the receiving department, and specialized in creating displays throughout the sales floor and re-designing the layout of the clothing and textiles department-In all periods of employment with Urban Ore, set up displays, priced goods, received and stocked merchandise, assisted customers in finding what they needed and loading their purchases, and generally kept the store looking attractive and running smoothly.

A brief stint working in the costume shop for Teatro Zinzanni. I was curious about the theater and film costume industry and, having heard there was an opening, decided to take a part-time temp position to check it out.I decided I really love what I do so much more: create designs for people to live their lives in, be it work or play (especially play!).

Designed and created original costumes for the Pink Flamingos, Celebrity Enterprises' large Vegas-style show band, in a wide variety of sizes, themes, and materials.Repaired and tailored existing costumes, fitting and customizing them for about thirty band members, women and men. Bought fabrics and supplies for costumes.

This was my first experience designing and creating a line of clothing and offering it for sale. Denim Bank was the hottest vintage and specialty clothing shop around; it was a mainstay of the local underground scenes such as swing, raver, rockabilly, punk, hippy, gothic, as well as fashionistas looking for a statement. I started tailoring some pieces for our customers and eventually created an original line of customized and refashioned vintage clothing of all types, making skirts out of jeans, handbags out of just about anything, wildly fur-lined and embellished jackets, cute dresses out of shapeless muumuus....even a line of raver wear from vintage cartoon printed bedsheets and other bright fabrics, neon fur, and toys!
