Since 2005, I've been deeply immersed in researching both my own family history and that of my husband's. From 2007 onwards, I've taken on research projects for numerous other families, finding each assignment incredibly fulfilling. Even when the answers aren't immediately found, each investigation teaches me something valuable.Currently, I'm pursuing certification as a genealogist, focusing particularly on genetic genealogy. I'm actively enrolled in courses that delve into genetic genealogy, equipping me to assist families in unraveling mysteries and identifying unknown ancestors through DNA analysis. This journey has proven both challenging and immensely gratifying as I support others in discovering their ancestral roots.

I had the privilege of working for a non-profit law firm that provided low-bono legal representation. Attorneys Northwest's mission was to offer affordable legal services to the working class. I loved reading, writing, researching, organization, process, and working with people—I got to do all of that! They say you never work a day when you do what you love!For quite some time, I served as the sole paralegal, managing the needs of four attorneys across diverse areas such as business law, probate, guardianship, custody, divorce, and estate planning. It was undeniably challenging, but never boring. My background as a Lean Coordinator proved invaluable, particularly in developing and refining processes and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency—a skill set that aligned seamlessly with the firm's operational needs.My primary areas of practice were probate and guardianship, although I also handled cases in family law, including custody and divorce. I maintained a keen interest in other legal fields such as real estate, intellectual property, personal injury, and estate planning.

I coordinated all projects assigned to the Continuous Improvement office. I worked closely with managers to resolve their process and production issues, ensuring safety compliance for all implemented changes. Acting as a liaison between team members and management, I facilitated change and improvement in our operational processes.Among my responsibilities:- Conducted Value Stream Mapping sessions to help managers identify waste and opportunities for kaizen.- Observed, documented, and developed Standard Work procedures.- Overhauled the Resistive Spot Welding program, including designing training modules and a weld schedule generation system, and retraining all personnel from Process Engineers to operators.In October 2014, we began the process of closing the Post Falls plant and relocating operations to Salem, IN. I opted not to move, so my employment with Kimball ended in December 2015. Seizing this opportunity, I pursued my dream by returning to school to earn my AA degree in Paralegal Studies.
