"So how did you get into recruiting?" Like so many people, I stumbled into it. But I soon found a passion and a purpose that influenced the direction of my career. It's because work is not just a source of income. Work also gives you an identity, a daily routine, a sense of purpose, personal development, community, and social interaction. It impacts where you live, where your family lives, and how you spend a large portion of your time. The importance of work - and specifically the importance of a job transition in someone's life - is ultimately what drew me to talent acquisition and keeps me coming back for more. I began my career in professional services as a consultant, and a few years later found myself recruiting those consultants instead! My time as a Recruiter and a Recruiting Manager gave me hands-on experience to learn the function, and the credibility I needed to expand my horizons as a Trainer for both Recruiting Systems and Behavioral Interviewing. I eventually transitioned into a Global Recruiting Program Management role, where I functioned as an internal consultant solving problems and driving initiatives with recruiting teams around the world. Over time my focus became specialized in HR Technology, where I gained a network of amazing vendors, consultants, and practitioners who still inspire me today.At my core, I am a connector of people and ideas. An organizer of chaos. A lifetime learner who is always up for a new challenge. I love building teams from the ground up, and helping them understand the connection between their work and business strategy. I've been fortunate that my path has given me broad and deep expertise in Talent Acquisition, including Recruiting Delivery and Management, Strategy, Operations, Process Optimization, HR Technology, Program Management, Change Management, and Learning & Development. I've had the satisfaction of maximizing efficiencies, effectiveness and candidate experience at scale for both high volume and competitive technical roles (e.g., Software Development Engineers). My peers and supervisors have shared my strengths as building relationships and earning trust with both internal stakeholders and external third parties, synthesizing complex information into simple action plans, facilitating cross-functional projects in a matrixed environment, influencing without authority, interpersonal skills and written communication.
