After graduating college, I went into research. While it was fulfilling, I felt I could do more. I tried various animal related jobs and found that caring for animals resonated with me deeply. Veterinary nursing has been my passion since 1992. I started in the kennel of our family veterinarian and was able to experience a plethora of opportunities. I found emergency and critical care and never looked back. I have spent the majority of my career training to be my best for the patients. I am a patient advocate through and through.I have worked in a general practice, ERs, specialty practices and a large training hospital. I have performed dentals, administered vaccines, triage, surgical assistance, mechanical ventilation and even CRRT (renal dialysis). Anyone who’s worked with me knows that I love “tubes in holes”.Where I’ll go from here and what I’ll do next is TBD. I don’t think I’ll be happy unless I have some form of animal care or animal science in my life. It’s time to go after the challenges I though were beyond me. Time to spread my wings and fly.
