Working in both Children's and the Adult department, helping where help is needed. I am in charge of multiple collections and make sure that I maintain a collection that meets the needs of the community. I enjoy planning and executing programs, and have the organization and time management skills necessary to do with both months and days of lead time.

I worked at the adult reference and information desk and serve as the Teen Librarian. As the teen librarian I planned and ran weekly programs as well as large-scale annual programs. These programs were planned usually around six months in advance and usually involve coordinating with performers, speakers, as well as volunteers assisting with the program.

I worked at the reference and information desk and helped the full time librarians with miscellaneous tasks. I was the front line for customer service either in person or on the phone, but also had to work well with the team to make sure the day-to-day activities of the library ran smoothly. This meant being flexible and stepping in to help where needed, and being willing and eager to take on more responsibilities when necessary. I also assisted with executing the Teen programming on a weekly basis.

I worked at the information desk and helped the full time librarians with miscellaneous tasks. I was the front line for customer service either in person or on the phone, as well as helping with the computer lab when needed.

I assisted with the entering of media information, including but not limited to the airdates of commercials bought by the company and their costs. I was in charge of collecting the sales information and entering them into our media system and also ensured that orders and cancels were confirmed accurately. We worked heavily with Excel to back up our records of which spots ran and any credits we were owed. I was also responsible for contacting prospective outlets for our clients’ products.

Working with the Children's Department, my main duties included the sorting and re-shelving of the returned books. In addition, I assisted the librarians with collection development projects in the Teen area, as well as a reorganization and shifting of collections. I also starting Teen Programming at the library including summer reading craft programs, movie nights and a monthly book discussion group.

I rented out tech equipment to students and faculty. I provided customer service by answering phone calls, making reservations, and assisting costumers at the counter with any questions regarding the campus or the technology. Here I learned how to troubleshoot technical difficulties in a calm and reassuring manner.
