I was promoted to be the Headguard at Port Kells Outdoor Pool where I became responsible for managing and scheduling a staff of 8, registering families and day camps for swimming lessons, processing payments and refunds, maintaining the pool chemistry and safety of the facility, answering all phone calls and returning messages, resolving disputes with the public, training staff to be RSLIs, and maintaining all records or paperwork. In 2022, I became Headguard at Greenaway Pool, one of the busiest pools in the city. My responsibilities grew to managing and scheduling a staff of 15 and organizing a busy pool program which included swimming lessons, swim club, pool rentals, and public swims. 2022 was the busiest year for our swimming lesson program and I oversaw the registrations of thousands of lessons done primarily over the phone with paper records.

I worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor at Holly Park Outdoor Pool where I was responsible for teaching swimming lessons to children 3-15 years old. I performed basic pool maintenance duties under supervision of the Headguard. I was trained as an RSLI (relief senior lifeguard) by the end of the season, enabling me to pick up Senior Lifeguard shifts at the outdoor pools throughout Surrey. As an RSLI, I was responsible for maintaining pool chemistry and safety of the facility, resolving any disputes with the public, and registering families for swimming lessons.
