I am responsible for writing, submitting and managing grants. I actively work with the Executive Director, Staff and Board of Directors, to develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy which is comprised of foundations, government grants, corporate sponsors and individual gifts. My focus is on revenue goal achievement for museum events through collaborative efforts with Museum staff with the goal of audience development through marketing and public relations efforts. I am responsible for assisting the Executive Director and the Board Development Committee in the development and management of fundraising event budgets and coordination of related expenditures. I serve as the primary staff liaison with the volunteer chairs of fundraising events and attending event meetings, and present status updates at Board Development Committee meetings.

• Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources. • Provide stewardship to current donors• Write press releases announcing all donations• Coordinate photographer for marketing photo shoots

• Coordinate details before, during and after any educational or special events• Responsible for managing artists, teaching workshops and coordinating group workshops and events.• Determine suitable layouts and themes for events per client specifications• Work on determining a suitable layout and theme for the event as per client’s specifications.• Manage and develop a strategic plan of action to ensure that the cost of the event remains under the pre-determined budget.• Oversee travel arrangements for presenters• Communicate directly with the Technical Department regarding any technical requirements needed for the event • Responsible for submitting payment requests • Maintain and update contact database • Provide guided building tours of the historic Scranton Cultural Center

I work with the Programming Department to develop concise and consistent publicity and marketing materials. My duties entail designing all printed marketing materials, print ads, and E-Blasts. I write press releases for all Scranton Cultural Center programming and provide information to our New Media Department.
