About Amy D'Andrea Med, Cvt, Rvt, Vts(Evn)
Amy is the co-owner and founder of Pet Emergency Education which she owns with her husband Greg. She holds her Bachelors of Science and Associate of Arts Degrees in Veterinary Technology and also has her Master's Degree in Education with a specialization in Instructional Technology. As a veterinary technician, Amy has pursued a successful career as a subject matter and instructional design expert. Her experience has provided her the ability to achieve tremendous career goals and to be a premier business woman in the educational community. Amy has a wealth of experience in the field of education, particularly the veterinary field and with LMS, instructional technology and curriculum design. She is the recipient of both the Hill’s Scholarship and the Veterinary Technology Excellence Award, recipient of the Teaching Excellence award by the Alpha Chi Honor Society and was the Mount Ida College 2004 Distinguished Alumni of the year. Amy also has served on many local and national boards, most notedly as the President of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America and was an organizing member of the Academy of Equine Veterinary Nursing Technicians. Amy is also a renowned lecturer on many topics in veterinary medicine who has spoken at such conferences at the American Veterinary Medical Association Annual Convention, State Veterinary Conferences and the North American Veterinary Conference.Amy is a published author whose writing credits include "Veterinary Technician's Large Animal Daily Reference Guide", "Vet Tech Essentials" "Large Animal Emergency and Disaster Preparedness Guide" and the "Canine and Feline CPR and First Aid Manual".

Equestrian team riders qualified and competed at the IHSA National Championships each year.
