As a Certified Flight Instructor with an instrument rating for helicopters, I have a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies degree in aviation and professional communication. The Capstone project I completed for my Masters degree highlighted the role of helicopter aviation in wildlife conservation, human/wildlife conflict, and counter poaching operations. To complete the Capstone, I contacted Paradise Helicopters, and did a 6-month internship with them in their Utility department before accepting a fulltime position. I am currently exploring new options for work as a pilot. Additionally, I have all Part 135 requirements met, with a CFI SFAR R44 sign-off, and completion of the Robinson Safety Course within the past 6 months.Regarding my second career: one of my teachers said, "We are not out of balance because of what we are lacking, but rather because of what we are not letting go of". Being the owner of and a practitioner at Exquisite Healing, I am offering integrative therapies, including hands-on meditation through the ancient Japanese healing Art, Jin Shin Jyutsu, for people and animals.
