My career has always focused on helping people learn and solve problems. Enabling the workforce to get ahead of the curve is tough, particularly in a non-profit environment. So it's rewarding when my team and I make it happen with creative solutions in the areas of training/instructional design, performance coaching, quality, knowledge management/tech writing, change management, and customer experience. I love helping customers engage with our brand and learn new skills via our customer facing financial education platforms. Developing engaging eLearning and video based education using tools like Vyond, Captivate, Articlate 360, and We Video allows us to be agile and promote content. Trade/Membership Association leadership on a volunteer board of directors has given me great perspective on what is happening in the industry.For over 18 years, I have managed remote teams and developed learning solutions for on-site and remote teams. While that can be more demanding that co-located management, this experience has helped strengthen and grow my facilitation, collaboration, communication, and management skills.Business process development, business systems problem solving, and change management solutions are additional areas of strength. I’ve led numerous process mapping and business re-engineering projects over the years. I am passionate about culture and have been on the forefront of developing MMI’s key cultural attributes as part of the president’s council. I am also on the strategic plan team and the leadership development steering committee, focused on making sure MMI delivers on the mission while positioning the organization for the challenges of the future.Working in a non-profit you wear many hats over time, and I have also developed and administered the organization’s grant and proposal writing and management processes for government and private sector business capture. I am Shipley certified in business development, and have completed Shipley courses in proposal writing, proposal management, capturing business, pricing to win, winning in the cost volume, decision gates and reviews, and more. I am active in the learning professional community and have spoken at national organization events as well as local chapter meetings, sharing my knowledge and experiences to benefit the wider learning community.
