“The brain is like a muscle. When it is in use we feel very good. Understanding is joyous.” - Carl SaganFor as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by human behavior. I love learning about people’s life experiences, how they think, and how this shapes their worldview. In other words, I want to know what makes people “tick.” Not only do I love human behavior, but I have also always loved building things - anything from jigsaw puzzles, to legos, to vacation itineraries. My brain is incredibly satisfied by the process of seeing a problem, gathering all of the pieces, and putting them together to create something great.Software Development feels like the missing puzzle piece for me. It is a way I can satisfy what my brain is craving, while still holding true to my original career aspirations - to build relationships and make a positive impact on the world. As a current Java Development Bootcamp student, I can honestly say I have never been more energized about what I am doing. And knowing that a career in Software Development requires continuous, lifelong learning just excites me even more for what the future holds.
