Honored to be inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame. Lucky to have run marketing and built brands at some of the most iconic businesses out there. Retired from Accenture where I served as CMCO, and now enjoying a potpourri joining boards, doing good works, and dispensing executive advisory advice. BACKGROUND‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾I’ve built businesses and brands for some of the world’s best-known companies: Accenture, Kraft, AT&T, Verizon, Siemens, IBM, Deloitte, and MasterCard Worldwide, where I led the iconic and award-winning “Priceless” campaign. Throughout my career—including executive roles at Y&R, Dentsu, and Ogilvy & Mather, where my teams won awards for excellence and innovation—I’ve learned that good leaders are only good when they can find the brilliance and let it shine. At Accenture, I was charged with transforming and modernizing the function, and the company is now experiencing its largest-ever growth in the business and in brand value. Concurrently, I was named by Forbes as one of the World’s 50 Most Influential CMOs, and just been inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame.BIO‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾I spent a lot of time as a child on a remote island, off the grid and on my game—swimming, reading, and building fires and lifelong skills. Fewer creature comforts inspired greater creativity. Today, I am energized by cycling, yoga, and reading, and love lighting a flame under great solutions to hard problems. Now serving on the boards of directors for Encore Global, a Blackstone portfolio company and the leader in events, and global nonprofit HealthRight International where I head the governance committee, Restless Books, and the Charter High School for Law and Social Justice. I was selected to serve as a Fellow for LiveOn NY, the premier public policy and advocacy shop for the health and human services sector dedicated to older adults in New York. I continue to volunteer as a writing and career coach for the Posse Foundation, which helps diverse groups of college students achieve academic potential, and conduct pro-bono consulting for a diverse set of non-profits.
