I provided strategic guidance to a growing national network of employers and university teams, identifying, prioritizing, and executing towards collective priorities and building the infrastructure to measure and support these objectives - all with the ultimate aim of encouraging more women to pursue computer science majors and careers in tech.As the organization grew from supporting hundreds of City University of New York (CUNY) computer science students to partnering with several universities nationwide, I adapted to lead priority objectives, including:- growing New York’s team and student-centered program design, delivery, and evaluation- establishing, scaling, and upskilling teams on organizational systems and processes- managing partnerships with 50+ employers, including several Fortune 100 companies - designing our data infrastructure with CUNY to capture academic outcomes for 10,000+ students- leading New York’s Advisory Board, comprised of representation from 10+ funders- stewarding a $2M+ annual budget and securing an additional $1M+- increasing the number of micro internships hosted at employers like American Express by 700% (from 6 to 50 students) and Barclays by 150% (from 10 to 25 students)

In collaboration with employers and workforce practitioners, we co-created a tool to equip job developers in evaluating and coaching midsized tech sector employers towards more equitable hiring and retention practices. Additional program activities included:- mapping and defining the City’s workforce system- interviewing numerous workforce practitioners from around the country to learn from best practices- applying Adaptive Leadership to our cohort's professional challenges via a Peer Consultancy ModelCoro's WSLP is a fully-funded program preparing senior workforce leaders to drive innovation and improve service delivery for low-income New Yorkers.

Under the City’s newly-launched sector-based framework (Career Pathways), I was the first Executive Director to oversee Employer-based Training and the founding Director for Construction and Industrial Training. I oversaw an annual $4M budget (comprised of federal, local, and private funding) that created opportunities for social and economic advancement for thousands of un- and under-employed New Yorkers through job training and helping businesses train and retain their employees. My responsibilities included:- designing, launching, implementing, and evaluating dozens of new programs- growing and managing a team of ten and assuming eight-month interim responsibility for a team of twenty- fostering industry, community, and intergovernmental partnerships- overseeing contract procurement, external reporting, and funding compliance (local and federal/WIOA)

I redesigned and institutionalized the globally-recognized "green jobs" program, NYC CoolRoofs, negotiating $8.5M for a decade of program delivery; doubling the associated workforce training opportunities; and providing domestic and international guidance on model replication. Ultimately, I transitioned to the NYC Department of Small Business Services to oversee the program's institutionalization and establish/grow the agency's related sector-based job training programs.I also established and led a 20-person interdisciplinary Urban Heat Island Working Group that developed the City’s urban heat mitigation strategy, and I contributed to several citywide strategic plans including PlaNYC, OneNYC, One City Built to Last, and Cool Neighborhoods NYC. My responsibilities in the Mayor’s sustainability and resiliency offices also included external affairs, community engagement, and communications (web design, social media, and interagency coordination for policy announcements).

I provided intensive coaching and oversight for a team of AmeriCorps volunteers supporting a South Bronx middle school of 400+ students and 50+ staff. We collaborated with school administration and staff to provide in-class support, tutoring, after-school programming, and behavioral and attendance coaching. I also contributed to corps-wide (150+ AmeriCorps members) professional development initiatives and led 36 of my peers and 200+ volunteers in delivering a weeklong day-camp attended by 370+ students across four boroughs.
