Helping churches to establish a youth ministry in their setting, providing training, guidance and practical support to help them create a thriving youth ministry and reach their community to build a stronger future.

This was an exciting role to help launch and run the Café, Softplay, community shop and Foodbank, which I helped transition to a Pantry (Your Local Pantry). I looked after a large, diverse, team of volunteers and paid staff. I took care of the management of the units, including the health and safety, ordering stock, advertising, staff training and development, and so much more. Alongside this I achieved a 2:1 BA Hons, in Applied Theology: Christian Leadership & Theology.

Corfe Coffee is a charity ran community coffee shop project. For six months I have been supporting the management team during a time of transition by using my expertise in coffee shop management to advice as well as helping to develop the team of paid and volunteer staff. During this time I helped to improve operating procedures; including implementing an EPOS till system, utilising the system to manage stock and sales to meet the business needs. I have gained a Level 2 in Food Hygiene.

During my time at Costa Coffee being responsible for in store training I had five team members pass the Barista Maestro accreditation on their first attempt. I have also been instrumental in identifying and nurturing two team members who went onto become successful store managers. I have experience in completing a wide range of managerial duties from shift management, to stock control, personnel as well as developing and setting in place effective systems to improve the running of the store; one such example was personally creating a multi-formula schedule which is still being used in various other Costa stores to this day. I am able to understand and analyse sales figures, KPIs, profit and loss statements. My responsibilities also included organising and running fund raising events for the Costa Foundation.
