As Perlegen’s primary microarray designer: - Developed and implemented new design algorithms and techniques to increase SNP performance, reduce cost, and simplify lab processing and data quality assessments, using VC++ and Java. - Updated, automated and documented the microarray design processes for various Affymetrix mask design technologies, using VC++, Python, Access/Visual Basic. - Led design-based review meetings with project manager, lab manager, data analyst, LIMS/computer pipeline manager to discuss technical issues.Managed all of Perlegen’s microarray design data in an Oracle database.Technical point of contact for Affymetrix, responsible for managing and communicating Perlegen’s mask and wafer needs, including order confirmation, order prioritization, delivery scheduling, product request forecasts, and manufacturing artifacts.
