Worked with OTRs, COTAs, and SLPs who specialize in Masgustova Neuro-sensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) and tactile integration for clients ages 9 months-22 years. Held a caseload of 10 clients alone, as well as co-treatments with additional clients with other therapists. Experience using various standardized assessments including the Test of Visual Perceptual Skills and Handwriting without Tears Screener. Other non-standardized assessments included skilled observation and primitive reflex testing. Provided in-service to educate team on Bal-A-Vis-X Intervention program with gradations and modifications.

Worked in hospital’s inpatient OT department and ICU. Completed evaluations and treatments with various patients and diagnoses. Co-treatments with PTs, PTAs, OTRs, COTAs, and Rehab Techs. Frequent use of non-standardized assessments for ROM, MMT, vision screens, safety/executive function, and ADL/IADLs. Worked collaboratively with treatment team of PT/PTAs, RNs, CNAs, MDs, and COTAs to cater to each patient’s level of ability and ensure safety and functional independence. Used sensory integration with clients between 3 and 13 years of age. Collaboratively developed year-long sensory-based camps alongside OTR supervisor and 3 other students. Experience working with and supervising COTA. Along with 3 other OT students, held group therapy for children ages 3-6 with various disorders impacting their social participation. Groups focused on developmentally appropriate play behaviors as well as interactive games about “being a good friend,” while also incorporating a sensory integrative approach to address their individual needs.
