Full time elementary school and early childhood special education (ECSE) internship, where I led comprehensive treatment programs for pediatric clients aged preschool through fifth grade, focusing on expressive/receptive language, augmentative/alternative communication, speech sound articulation, stuttering, voice, and cognitive/social aspects of communication. As well as utilized TouchChat and GoTalks to enhance communication abilities, while implementing Story Champs curriculum to support cognitive and social development.

Elementary School Externship: Delivered an enriched writers workshop for beginning writers (ages 4-8) with developmental disabilities in a school setting.

CMU Specialty Speech Camp: Where I developed dynamic group lesson plans to target treatment goals for groups of 3 children with down’s syndrome, apraxia, speech sound disorder, language disorder, and social pragmatics. As well as created and executed group activities for children aged 9-12 with varying communication abilities.

Pediatric Clinical Evaluation Rotations: Conducted evaluations for Summer Specialty Clinic (Age 4, 5, and 7) with autism, language disorders, speech sounds disorder, and social pragmatics.

Adult Clinical Rotations: Speech Language Pathology Student Clinician at CMU’s Carl Center, where I developed and implemented individualized treatment plans for adult clients with aphasia, integrating technology-assisted speech therapy tools. As well as collaborated with Aphasia Book Club and Virtual Connections through teletherapy sessions to allow the clients to participate in a group and share their story in a supported environment.
