Building on my experience as a community science coordinator, continue to manage the City Nature Challenge at both the global and local levels. Support the needs of global city organizers. Collaborate across museum departments to ensure that deliverables such as videos, logo translations, website, and press releases are produced and distributed in a timely manner. Maintain partnerships with local organizations. Teach people how to use the iNaturalist app. Plan bioblitz events in which people come together to learn about community science, participate in data collection, and engage with nature.Lead teams of community scientists to collect data about bat population size during summer bat roost counts. Develop training materials for roost count leaders. Manage data from roost counts including participant counts and EchoMeter acoustic data. Process acoustic data using SonoBat to identify bats to species.

Manage the City Nature Challenge, a participatory science research project with more 450 participating cities worldwide. Manage communication between city organizers and the two sponsoring institutions (Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and the California Academy of Sciences), responsible for website maintenance, creating partnerships with local Los Angeles organizations, leading iNaturalist trainings, and planning bioblitz events.Other work includes co-creating a bilingual pollinator guide with local elementary students and assisting with urban bat biodiversity research.

To this role, I brought a well-rounded understanding of the museum's mission, content, and operations. Greater Los Angeles Area

As a research assistant for the BioSCAN project, I provided laboratory support for the world's largest urban biodiversity study. My responsibilities included processing, sorting, and preparing samples for long-term storage. The BioSCAN project collects insects and other arthropods at eighteen locations throughout the Los Angeles area. Samples are then sorted according to specific area areas of curator study with special emphasis given to the phoridae family of flies.

Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum

The California Naturalist Program is dedicated to training naturalists in the four areas of: program support, interpretation, citizen science and restoration/conservation. The program was developed by the University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources and includes participants throughout the state of California. The program at the Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum is the first site within the South Bay area of Los Angeles.

Altadena, California

Facilitate a team of volunteers that examines, improves upon, and supports communication between Aveson administration, teachers, and parents. Additionally, the Communication and Community Action Team strives to welcome new families by providing information and opportunities for families to form connections within the Aveson community, including the creation of the Mentor Family Program.

Pasadena, California

Administrator of the American Heritage Student Program, which provides inner-city high school and college students with the opportunity to hear world class speakers in a variety of fields, including: politics, public policy, business, health care, and the arts. Responsible for school recruitment, grant management, student briefing materials, as well as facilitating private Q&A sessions between the students and speakers.

Assisted president with all aspects of company operations. Maintained client, vendor, and accounting records. Responsible for payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Worked with graphic designer to re-brand company logo, packaging, and other promotional materials.

Newport Beach, California

Worked on planning and executing club-sponsored events, as well as assisting members with the planning of private social and business gatherings.Created graphic design for all in-house events, including invitations, menus and promotional posters. As part of my event planning responsibilities, I also worked to carry out a visual theme for each event, including decorations.Additionally, I provided all planning services for this department during the month-long search for a new Director of Catering.

Fullerton, California

Worked with members of the committee to raise $45,000 to fund the project. Wrote and designed publicity material, including an informational brochure about the mural and its history, an illustrated map of WPA Fullerton, and an invitation to the post-restoration celebration. Served as a crew chief during the restoration period, performing the work of removing a layer of paint (the mural had lain forgotten for 40+ years), performing delicate touch-up work, and supervising others in the same efforts.

San Bernadino Mountains, California

Served as a substitute instructor in a residential outdoor science school. As such, I was responsible for the supervision of a new cabin of girls each week, and led all camp participants in a daily plant ecology lesson.

Big Bear, California

Planned and led crafts activities for all summer campers.
