Working at the State Bar of Michigan has been an incredible opportunity for growth. Initially, my role was primarily administrative, handling member inquiries related to license fees, continuing legal education, status verification, and publications. Leveraging my organizational skills and technological expertise, I refined several administrative processes, leading to a nearly 50% increase in daily productivity. Additionally, I developed a new tracking system for non-dues revenue and partner royalties, and streamlined the year-end budgeting process.I then transitioned to focusing intensely on planning meetings and events, becoming involved in every aspect of event planning—from small 25-person weekend conferences to large 1,400+ attendee conventions. My experience includes managing exhibit halls, coordinating keynote speakers, and organizing executive Board meetings. I also played a critical role in planning leadership seminars, awards banquets, luncheons, and receptions.

As a receptionist for the State Bar of Michigan I was responsible for welcoming members and visitors, determining the nature of their business, and directing visitors to the proper employee. I also answered a multi-line phone tree, answering questions about the legal community and routing calls to the correct departments. I was instrumental in creating a front desk handbook that significantly reduced mis-routed calls and resulted in fewer complaints. In this position I also coordinated internal meetings; received, sorted, and routed mail; processed outgoing mail and UPS packages; and was responsible for inventory of office supplies and publications. I was also the folding-machine expert in the building, and trained many employees on its usage.

At this private archive I was responsible for processing, rehousing and cataloging historical materials in a highly sensitive and confidential environment. Major duties were database entry and management including database quality control, and also transcription of interviews, genealogical research, scanning photos, creating photographic records of physical objects, and scanning OCR documents.
