Co-chair of the White Collar Defense and Investigations practice at Arnold & Porter, I am a former federal prosecutor with extensive experience in criminal investigations, especially national security and international matters. As the Department of Justice attaché in London, I coordinated criminal matters between the Department of Justice and the UK authorities, including the Serious Fraud Office, the Crown Prosecution Service, and the Home Office. Prior to that appointment, I served as the Attorney General’s counselor for national security and international matters, assisting with the oversight of the Department’s investigations and prosecutions and coordinating with other US government agencies. During my thirteen years as a federal prosecutor with the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, I prosecuted more than 40 jury trials and handled and supervised a wide range of cases, including export enforcement, sanctions, money laundering, espionage, narcotics, organized crime, and fraud and public corruption cases. In private practice, I am available to advise and represent clients who seek guidance in handling investigations, litigation, and compliance matters in these areas.
