About Amy Anichini

I’m on a mission to help kids and teens discover and tap into the power they have, even in situations where they might feel – or be made to feel – like they have none, so that each person is free to be exactly who they are meant to be and contribute what they alone can to their communities and the world. I strive to achieve this by offering services to schools and businesses as well as directly to kids, teens, and families, to help each of us be part of the solution. For more detail, visit ActLikeYouMatter.org:SERVICES FOR SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS:(1) Student-led, age-appropriate, anti-bullying empowerment programs for K-12: Through these programs, we demonstrate and teach tools & strategies students can use immediately if they witness or are the target of bullying behavior. Offered: (a) On campus at schools and businesses in San Diego County and (b) Online (everywhere!) (2) Bullying Prevention Consulting for Schools and Businesses: (a) Advising you on your policies and written language for your student/parent handbooks, including (i) accurate definitions of bullying and harassment, (ii) expectations for student behavior, and (iii) clear and specific reporting procedures. (b) Mentoring your student leaders in setting the example for behavior norms on campus.(c) Scripts of our solution-focused programs: Available for licensing so you can perform our content in your schools and communities.SERVICES FOR KIDS, TEENS, AND FAMILIES:(1) Bullying Resilience Coaching for kids, teens, and families, helping:(a) Students build their resilience and self-esteem, so that they deflect, rather than internalize, the negativity of others.(b)Their parents, guardians, and trusted adults to help and support them.(2) Healthy, empowering presence on social media channels where we strive to make sure that no one feels alone in what they’re experiencing and share strategies that have worked in managing various negative encounters.I believe that the combination of (1) Schools’ expectations of respectful, positive communication among students (top-down structure and support for change) and (2) Students refusing to tolerate disrespectful treatment of themselves and others (bottom-up, groundswell change in the way kids and teens treat each other) is how true change to positive, inclusive relationships, schools, communities, and beyond happens.
