Shaw Butte Elementary

I am acting as teacher for the art class at this school until the end of the 2013 school year. I currently teach grades Kindergarten through 6th. I make grade-level appropriate lesson plans as well as assess and score projects. The most important part of what I do at Shaw Butte is to inspire each student to not only develop skills and a fondness for art, but also to learn by example, instruction, and practice.

I worked as a floater: appointment setter, greeter, studio tour guide and assistant to the photographers.

I was a part of a group of 32 high school-aged students, during an 8-week program, called Gallery 37, in which we all worked to create a three dimensional mural for a boys and girls club. We documented our project using Photoshop to help with making a 20-paged book and created other promotional materials such as fliers and logos.
