Recent project development includes:Write 2023 Inflation Reduction Act Climate Ready Workforce for Coastal States, Tribes, and Territories Competition /Climate Workforce Development Grant for Flood Mitigation Industry Association (FMIA)Coastal Wetlands conversion to Rice Production; seeking funding through large global oil firm with their Nature Based Solutions team; to assist in a carbon credit project for subsided wetlands in continental US.Bamboo Resilience and Carbon Offset project, Department of Ag and Fisheries, Philippines.Preliminary Development work related to Carbon Offset/Removal projects with Waste to Energy Bamboo/Biochar/Reforestation.Identify various CDM/VCS methodologies that were eligible.Draft key components for various localized stakeholders in managing preliminary economic, social, environmental, circular economy, climate resilient, adaptive and other business development outcomes of Bamboo offset.Lay the groundwork for advancing the economic, social, environmental and climate resilience capacities of Seaweed development, similar to the above activities listed for Bamboo. Climate change related resilience is related to acute risks which include hurricanes, heavy downpours, extreme storms, flooding, drought, wildfires, coastal erosion, rising sea levels, worsening air quality, structural risk, population migration and more. My role was to identify problems, interpret the policy framework, and highlight practical and sustainable solutions to include: smart cities, green infrastructure, rainwater harvesting, permeable pavement, vertical farming renewable and distributed energy systems, coastal/inland waterway management and wetlands development, 3D/sensors/real-time weather/other innovative technology and more.

The post graduate fellowship concluded at NYS Senate as of June 26, 2019. My targeted focus was environmental policy. The NY State Legislative Fellowship was with Senator Liz Krueger (D-NY), Finance Chair for the 2019 legislative session in Albany, NY. The fellowship trained me to embrace the role and subsequent responsibilities of a Legislative Director. I engaged with environmental and other public policy research, drafted bill summaries, researched bill ideas, tracked budget requests, facilitated the legislative process for the Legislative Director and the Senator, assisted with budget hearings and represented the office. Various research and environmental policy analysis during the fellowship included some of the following: mitigating climate change, reducing CO2 emissions, divesting from fossil fuel investments, waste management including Styrofoam and disposable cigarettes.Research on other issues included: corporate accountability and tax incentives, consumer protections with electric utility service companies (ESCOs), confessions of judgment and NYC Marshall program, voter rights including ranked choice voting, sex offender risk assessment tools and more.
