The St. Croix Regional Family Health Center (SCRFHC) is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC). We are a private, nonprofit organization, which has been providing health care since 1991. No one will be denied access to services due to an inability to pay. We offer discounts based on family size and income.The Health Center was founded in 1991 after a group of concerned citizens met in the kitchen of one of the present Board members to seek a resolution to the virtually complete absence of primary care services in Northern Washington County.The original health center was located in rented space on the main street and had one medical provider, a nurse, and a receptionist. The volume of patients seeking care soon required expansion, however, and funds were eventually raised to build a new health center at the current location on Mill Street in 1998. There were only enough funds to complete the top floor of the two-story building at that time, but the first floor space has been worked on over the past couple of years, and will be completed this year. We were able to add Mental Health and Substance Abuse services in 1993. We are fortunate to have an extremely dedicated and able Board of Directors, several of whom have remained on the Board since the health center's inception. They all reside in the community, many are health center patients, and their insight and judgment has ensured that the health center continues to grow at a steady and fiscally responsible rate.

• Directed communications for $13 billion industrial packaging business segment, with more than 25,000 employees, 17 paper mills, 20 recycling plants, and more than 190 packaging facilities. • Delivered executive communication support for and actively participate as part of the Industrial Packaging leadership team.• Managed, coached and developed six-person business communication team, and served as a member of International Paper’s Corporate Communications leadership team. • Coordinated communication planning for more than 20 consolidation-related plant closures and divestitures over four years. • Served as crisis communications officer on corporate incident command team and process owner for global headquarters business continuity communications.

• Worked directly with C-suite and other senior executives to develop messaging, prepare them for interviews, and write, edit and issue all corporate press releases.• Created and delivered compelling and effective training courses on leadership communications, labor communications, media relations, crisis management and key message delivery.

• Managed a team of eight mill communication professionals responsible for communications and public relations across 9 paper mills with 10,000 total employees.• Collaborated with peers to create cross-functional development model to promote engagement, networking and best practice sharing among field communication staff.

• Constructed internal communication assessment process for the company’s primary mill system and completed several multi-week on-site assessments, including implementation of recommendations.• Developed visual matrix approach to quantify and rank relative value of communication channels and messaging, contributing to improved buy-in and support from manufacturing leaders.• Co-chaired a team to develop company-wide communication standards and best practices. • Developed and taught leadership communication training for more than 300 first-line leaders at multiple sites, resulting in improved employee engagement.

• Managed employee communications for corrugated packaging division with 67 U.S. plants and 8,000 employees.• Partnered with business rationalization teams to manage communications for more than 13 plant closures in 1999 and 2000.
